ExPert Riser Solutions’ state-of-the-art inspection and repair facility at the deepwater port of Fourchon is a superior alternative to conventional riser repair centers. Strategically located at C-Port, this one-stop center eliminates trucking expense and potential transportation damage, as risers are inspected and repaired on-site and entirely in port.
The facility is equipped to transfer risers directly from supply vessels where seasoned ExPert professionals comply with API and manufacturer’s guidelines for between-well and four year inspection and maintenance. The between-well inspection includes a visual examination for corrosion, cracks or abnormal wear. The four year inspection includes disassembly and non-destructive examination of all load path and pressure containing components, fastener mechanisms and weld joints.
